Sterling Ruby - Work Wear Garment and Textile Archive 2008 - 2016

YES PLEASE!! Recycling, collages, sculpture, textiles, quilts, hand-dying, workwear, garments, art - all things that are close to my heart.  So you can bet your life I thoroughly enjoyed the Sterling Ruby exhibition at Spruth Magers gallery last Saturday (its final day at the gallery).

"Work Wear: Garment and Textile Archive 2008 - 2016" is a collection of clothing and textile production from the past 8 years, made from remnants and studio uniforms.

Rommydebommy I SALUTE YOU!

I'm tickled pink to discover these super cute accessories by Rotterdam based designer ROMMYDEBOMMY on Instagram. Her colourful cartoon couture bags are so fun! There's cakes and doughnuts galore though my favourite is the cheese.  Rommy's own personal style - which she describes as "a colour explosion" - is as eye-popping as her creations. It's not just bags, there's also a cheeky selection of food bow ties and necklaces - yum!   Check out Rommy's Instagram here or her (reasonably priced) Etsy shop.

All photos are from Rommydebommy's Etsy shop page.

These Giraffe Plates are so cute!!

These are so cute!!

The description of these on the Conran Shop website says

"Brighten up your child’s mealtime with this colourful children’s tableware collection"

But I think they would brighten up my mealtime - there's a crocodile design that I also really want!

Designed by Marcus Didßun and manufactured by the prestigious German porcelain company Reichenbach.  The collection includes plates, bowls and mugs.

What do you think? Would you love these for a dinner time safari?
